Ahhhhh, My Back!!!

Hello Friends,
I hope you had a fab Labor Day Weekend. My family did. We did some cleaning, some shopping, some playing, some reading and some camping.

I know nothing when it comes to camping. The closest I've come to camping was back in the good ol' 70's when I'd be hangin'at Grandpa and Grandma Hansen's house. My g-pa had this big maroon canvas tent(similar to what the Brady's used in the episode when Bobby and Cindy get lost). Well, anyway, he'd set it out every summer and we would sleep out under the stars with our friends the Walkenhorst's. We were quite a crew. I had a nice little sleeping bag and a cot to place it on. It was heaven- of coarse I'd only last an hour at best- I sleep better in a climate controlled room. Ah, those were the days.

Well, it was my kids turn to sleep out under the stars on Sunday night. We headed out with sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, flash lights, lantern, canteen- I mean water bottle, and of coarse Jack's action figures. We settled in at 9:30 in the evening. I thought we'd be in our own beds in our air condition house by 11pm at the latest. Boy was I wrong!! I enjoyed 9 hours on the hard earth and I barely lived to tell. The pain is starting to fade and I think I will be able to walk in a normal fashion in a day or two.

I am not getting old I am already there. Would I do this camping thing again?

ABSOLUTELY!!!

Our family had a great time out in our on little bit of wilderness and memories were made-- Next time, however, there will be an airbed and a Tylenol joint pain drip for the old lady!!
