Is this Bono thing a little unhealthy?

Hello Friends. It's hump day and I am excited about the weekend. It will be here before you know it.

As I said in my last post, I noticed that Bono's hair was a little bit longer and I thought that a new cd was on the way. Well, as I read yesterday's O.W.H., there was a little blip in the living section on U2. And guess what? They are coming out with a new single, "Get Your Boots On" which will go on sale Feb. 13th. The album, "No Line On The Horizon" comes out on March 3. Whew- Hooo!!!!!
Now, if Bono continues with the hair growth thing (his hair is usually on the longer side while touring) U2 should hit the Mid-west in about 18- 24 months. I am raising the roof right now-whoop-whoop!!

Okay, there is something a little troubling in the fact that I kinda now all this U2 stuff. Crazed fan perhaps. Is it a little strange that I know Bono's birthday is May 10Th and Larry Mullin Jr.'s is on Halloween? My coffee table book is actually a book on U2. Little bit creepy.

I have been a fan since I first heard "New Years Day" in 1982. Through the bad highlights and Bono's super mullet, I have been a fan. I went through a period when I was disenchanted with him and I thought he'd gotten a bit too cocky and full of himself- The selfish 30's.

He's turned it around. He has been and advocate for many ever since he hit the high road of fame. He's a family man. He has been married to his wife longer than he's been famous. And, I am sure he is a Christian. I even have a photo of him with the "Women of Faith" ladies. Not that a photo is proof- but I feel pretty confident in saying that he knows Jesus.

So anyway, I look forward to Tim and I taking our kiddos to the concert in a year or two. We saw them last time they were in Omaha and it was delightful. Very clean entertainment. Tim enjoyed it as much as I did. I'm fired up.

I may have to make a list of my favorite U2 songs one of these days.
